A blessing in disguise Dan Leberfeld

While this game was painful for the Jets and their faithful, it was needed in a way.

The Jets brass needed one last slap upside the head to get the message through to their brass – they need to make a quarterback change.

Not just now, but next year as well.

Mark Sanchez is a very hard worker, and is trying as hard as he can, but it’s just not working out. Perhaps he needs a change of scenery.

But Rex, Mike and Woody are so stubborn when it comes to pulling Sanchez, perhaps a loss of this magnitude will finally wake them up.

It’s time to see what Greg McElroy can do in the next couple of games.

And let him compete in a quarterback competition next summer for the job.

Against who, that remains to be seen.

But it’s time for a change.
