Savanta polled 500 Americans about their viewing plans for Super Bowl Sunday, and here are the results:

  • 74% of the consumers plan to watch Super Bowl this year
    • 33% of the consumers plan to watch the Super Bowl on TV
    • 21% of the consumers plan to watch the Super Bowl at home with family
    • 5% of the consumers plan to watch the Super Bowl at home with friends
    • 3% of the consumers plan to watch the Super Bowl in a mobile app
    • 3% of the consumers plan to watch the Super Bowl in a bar/restaurant/eating joint

 

Preferred parts of Super Bowl to watch this year

  • 53% of the consumers plan to watch the actual game
  • 42% of the consumers plan to watch the halftime music show
  • 41% of the consumers plan to watch the advertisements
  • 31% of the consumers plan to watch the national anthem
  • 26% of the consumers plan to watch the pre-game show
  • 42% of the consumers plan to watch the halftime music show

 

Plans to watch the Puppy Bowl this year

  • 32% of the consumers plan to watch the Puppy Bowl
  • 25% of the consumers are not aware of the Puppy Bowl

  • 85% of consumers plan to cook/ order food / eat out on Super Bowl
  • 53% of the consumers plan to cook traditional Super Bowl foods (nachos, chili, wings, hot dogs, etc.) at home

  • 15% of the consumers plan to order take out food from a restaurant/bar/pub and pick it up
