This player looked really good in Jets training camp, but then got just eight snaps in Buffalo.
Talking about tight end Trevon Wesco.
The West Virginia-product displayed velcro hands all summer, and we already know he’s a road-grading blocker.
Wesco’s not a burner, but he’s very good in the short to intermediate passing game, and is really hard to bring down after the catch.
He’s a good guy to have some passing plays designed for in a game, because the defense expects him to stay in to block, so when he slips out, there’s often little or no coverage on him.
After the way he shined this summer, it’s surprising how little he played in Buffalo.
