Jets coach Todd Bowles was asked today if he’s feeling extra pressure this year since his team hasn’t made the playoffs in his first three seasons.
“Same pressure I felt when I came here,” Bowles said. “I don’t go into every season feeling any less or any more. It’s the same pressure. You get to the Super Bowl from here that’s all I’m here to do. I’m not here to collect a check, I’m not here to go 8-8. I’m here to try and get to the Super Bowl.”
He was then asked if this season is “all or nothing?”
“That’s how I coach every year,” Bowles said.
So while some people are lowering the bar for the Jets season since they are starting a rookie QB, that isn’t how their coach is looking at it.
