Braylon Edwards speaks #nyj Dan Leberfeld

Braylon Edwards is officially a Jet, and spoke to the New York media in Cortland today.

“This feels like home,” Edwards said about becoming a Jet for the third time. “I’ve done my best work here.”

Edwards thought he’d be signed later in the summer.

“I’d be lying if I said I thought it would be this fast,” Edwards said. “I thought it would be later in camp.”

When Edwards reported to the Jets late last season, he was 228 pounds, and the Jets’ brass thought that was too heavy.

He dropped to 215 this off-season by doing a lot of running and cardio work.

“I’m in the best shape I’ve been since 2010,” Edwards said.

What does he expect his role to be this year?

“I came here to start,” Edwards said.
