Coples visiting the Jets on Wednesday Dan Leberfeld

Josina Anderson reports that UNC DE Quinton Coples is going to visit the Jets on Wednesday.

So many names have been attached to the Jets at 16, but perhaps Coples should be included in that group.

He’s a top ten prospect, but could slip to 16 because a lot of people feel his motor ran hot and cold as a senior.

But if this guy goes to the right coach who can keep him motivated, his ceiling is very high.

He’s a tad under 6-6, weighs 281 and runs 4.71.

One talent evaluator feels this guy has the potential to be a Richard Seymour-like 3-4 end.

So you can understand why the Jets are having him travel to Florham Park on Wednesday.

If Coples slips to 16, they are going to have to think long and hard about taking him.
