Dolphins sign a DT

The Miami Dolphins signed defensive tackle Andre Fluellen, the team announced.

The 6-2, 302-pound Fluellen joins Miami after spending the previous four seasons with the Detroit Lions where he joined the team as third round draft choice (87th overall ) of the 2008 NFL Draft. He has played in 51 career games with five starts. Fluellen has recorded 2.5 career sacks along with one forced fumble. He played collegiately at Florida State where he was a four-year letter winner and two-year starter. He finished his career with the Seminoles with 81 tackles, including 18 behind the line of scrimmage, five passes defensed and five sacks. Born March 7, 1985 in Cartersville, Georgia, Fluellen attended Cartersville High School in Cartersville, GA.
