Dolphins sign Lance Louis

(Press Release) – The Miami Dolphins have signed offensive lineman Lance Louis, it was announced today.

“We are happy that Lance has joined our team,” said Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland. “He will be a great addition to the offensive line both on the field and in the meeting room.”

The 6-3, 320-pound Louis spent the previous four seasons (2009-12) as a member of the Chicago Bears. He has appeared in 41 games, with 28 starts. A versatile offensive lineman, Louis has started at guard and tackle over his career. He originally was drafted in the seventh round (246th overall) by Chicago in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Louis played collegiately at San Diego State where he played in 39 games (19 starts). He began his collegiate career as a tight end, but moved to the offensive line prior to the start of his junior season. Born April 24, 1985 in New Orleans, played football and basketball at Landry High School.
