Joe D loading up on guys wired right Dan Leberfeld

The vibe is clearly different with the 2020 Jets.

It might not be the most talented roster in the league, but they seem to have a bunch of guys who are buying in, and aren’t just here to cash a check.

Jets GM Joe Douglas wants to create a great football culture, and that starts with the kind of players you bring in, how they’re wired.

“The guys on this roster, they’re Jets, and they’re going to represent this organization and this fan base well,” Douglas said after the final cuts. “They have the character, they have the confidence, they have the commitment that we’re looking for when we talk about what we want in New York Jets.”

Jets coach Adam Gase sees a big difference in the clubhouse this year.

“I’m really excited about this locker room,” said Gase. “I love the way this group operates as a unit.

“I’ve been really impressed with how these guys operate day in and day out. I can’t think of a better group of guys that I’ve been around to where these guys come in, they go to work every day, whatever is asked of them they put their head down, they go to work. I’m really excited. When you come to work here, you’re fired up to be around these guys.”

While the Jets still have a lot of work to do, and need to add more talent, clearly Douglas is starting to amass a bunch of guys he feels possess the right football character.
