Joe D’s pursuit will never stop Dan Leberfeld

The Jets have added a lot of new blood.

In 2021, they’ve added 10 draft picks, 12 undrafted free agents, 11 veteran free agents, along with some recent waiver claims, like WR Matt Cole and RB Austin Walter.

But Jets GM Joe Douglas isn’t done adding players leading into the season, by any stretch of the imagination.

“There’s more opportunities to improve this team, improve this roster – we’re going to take it,” said Douglas said.

Douglas is excited about how the team’s improved depth will also improve the competition in camp.

“We’re excited about the competition we’re going to create,” Douglas said. “We’re excited about the depth that we added. So, I do feel like we improved ourselves throughout this offseason and the offseason.”

But expect more players to be added, especially via the waiver wire during training camp, and especially guys who are let go by San Francisco, players familiar with the Jets’ new systems, and many of their new coaches.
