ESPN New York rips Jets media policy

Cortland – ESPNNewYork.com’s Rich Cimini ripped the Jets’ new media policy in his Sunday column.

The paranoia level around the team has increased significantly under Idzik,” wrote Cimini. “News photographers and TV cameras weren’t allowed to shoot Saturday night’s scrimmage, save for warm ups and stretching, even though it was watched by 6,000 fans and broadcast on ESPN New York 98.7 FM. For all we know, there could’ve been opposing scouts in the stands. Ridiculous.”

My opinion on this is – the Jets can do whatever they want. They are a private corporation.

And also, we (the media) have been so vicious to them over the years, can you blame them for flipping the bird at us sometimes?
