He’s now working in the media, but he’s a former NFL scout, and had some kind words for this college QB prospect.
NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, a former scout for the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles, is a big fan of BYU QB Zach Wilson. And in his first mock draft for NFL.com, Jeremiah has the Jets picking Wilson with the second pick.
“Wilson’s upside would be tough to pass up,” wrote Jeremiah.
On his podcast, Jeremiah said one thing he likes about Wilson is how “effortless” the game seems to be to him.
“I go back and watch Zach Wilson, and some guys are just effortless,” said Jeremiah. “If there is a soundtrack, it’s ‘Easy like Sunday morning.’ He’s just so effortless and smooth.”
