Gil Brandt doesn’t see Upshaw as a linebacker Dan Leberfeld

NFL.com’s Gil Brandt has Alabama’s Courtney Upshaw as his 16th best player in the draft.

Which is kind of interesting, since so many people project him going to the Jets at 16.

However, Brandt doesn’t like Upshaw at the 3-4 OLB spot.

“Upshaw ran a 4.74 at 279 pounds,” wrote Brandt. “I think his best position is defensive end, and I don’t think he has enough ability to play linebacker in the NFL.”
