Sam Darnold doesn’t “go for the cheese” as players like to say.
In other words, fall for trap questions, and create headlines.
Darnold was asked on Thursday, “How close is he to being ready to start week one?”
“There is no way to tell until that week one, right?” Darnold said.
Great answer.
The Jets have no intention of starting Darnold in week one.
And the kid is wise beyond his years, and isn’t going to “go for the cheese.”
