Here is an interesting mock draft Jets pick Dan Leberfeld

Like I’ve said before, mock drafts mean nothing, but they are fun to peruse.

Rob Rang, who does a nice job as a draft analyst for CBSSports.com, in his latest mock draft, has the Jets picking USC QB Matt Barkley at nine.

I know that pick could cause a five-ring circus story in the New York press – a USC QB replacing a USC QB.

But you know what, if the Jets have a high grade on him, they should ignore what the media reaction might be. It’s time for the Jets to block out the white noise.

I’m not going to lie – I came away from the combine unbelievably impressed with Barkley – his presence, his football IQ, how he commanded his press conference.

And he was a 4-year starter in a pro offense in college. He’s also very good at reading defenses

He has to prove at his pro day that his arm strength isn’t an issue.

Oh my goodness, would that be an interesting pick if the Jets decide to go down that road.

But honestly, I don’t think he gets by Arizona at seven.
