Idzik’s free agent approach Dan Leberfeld

Jets GM John Idzik said the team will “be judicious in free agency.”

For those unfamiliar with the meaning of that word, here is some help from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary – “Having, exercising, or characterized by sound judgment : discreet.”

Merriam-Webster uses this sentence as an example of how to use thew word – “Judicious planning now can prevent problems later.”

So in other words, the Jets aren’t going to be throwing money around like drunken sailors; they are going to try to spend their money pragmatically.
