West Palm Beach – On Monday, at an NFL Meeting in Florida, Jets owner Woody Johnson commented for the first time about the team’s decision to release QB Aaron Rodgers.
“He is a great player, a Hall of Famer player,” Johnson said. “I’m sorry it didn’t work out, but we made a choice. I think we made the right choice. They made the right choice.”
Some would argue it’s hard to know right now if they made the “the right choice.”
Perhaps we need to see how the Jets fare at the QB position next season, and how Rodgers does with whatever team he signs with before one can discern that it was “the right choice.”
Time will tell.
