It was a good time for Pettine to leave #nyj Dan Leberfeld

Mike Pettine is the new defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills.

He was the Jets’ defensive coordinator the last four years, and did a solid job.

But it was probably a good time for him to leave.

Recently, WFAN host Mike Francesa accused Pettine of being reporter Manish Mehta’s main source in the Jets’ organization.

How do you overcome an allegation like that and maintain your credibility in this market?

The Jets have a major issue with leaks, and it’s time for Woody, Ira and Neil to clean it up.

If you buy into Francesa’s allegation, letting Pettine walk, is a good start.
