Jets claim pass rusher Foley

The New York Jets have claimed free agent LB Ricky Foley off
waivers from the Seattle Seahawks. The announcement was made by General Manager
Mike Tannenbaum.
Foley (LB/6-2/252/York University/York, Canada) was signed by Seattle on
February 23, 2010, after spending four seasons in the Canadian Football League.
Foley was a first-round draft choice of the B.C. Lions in 2006. In 2009, he was
named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian after leading the league with 12 sacks
and posting 51 tackles. Foley originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free
agent with Baltimore in 2006, but was released before training camp.
