Aaron Rodgers came out of the locker room after the game, and there was a cart waiting for him to take him out of the stadium.
But he turned down the ride and wanted to walk instead.
He usually takes the cart.
Seeing him walk, up close, it seemed like he still had a very slight limp in his gait. You can see my shot of him walking on my Twitter page – @jetswhispers . . .
I still have no idea why the Jets started Tim Boyle over Trevor Siemian.
And nobody has asked Robert Saleh once, since the decision on Monday, why they went with Boyle over Siemian, who has 30 career starts. Boyle has three. Siemian was also the more accomplished college career at Northwestern, compared to Boyle at UConn and Eastern Kentucky.
Very odd why nobody will ask this.
Wouldn’t it be nice to know their thinking? . . .
Another bad game for the Jets’ run defense, giving up 167 yards.
So now, we have enough evidence, after 11 games, to say this is a substandard run defense.
There is so much leaky yards with guys tricking ahead for five, six yards, on plays that probably should be one or two yards . . .
Michael Clemons was thrown out of the game for bumping an official. This is a week after getting into a tussle with Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins in the tunnel after the game in Buffalo.
I saw Clemons walking out the locker room after the game, and was thinking of going over, but the way he was walking, and with the look on his face, I wasn’t sure it was a good idea to good over to him.
That is one intimidating human being.
After what has happened the last two games, maybe give him a week off next week vs, Atlanta to cool down, and let Carl Lawson play.
People might think that could hurt their run defense, but their run defense is so bad right now, not sure it would make a big difference . . .
The Jets made a major mistake on the disastrous “Hail Mary” pass at the end of the half returned 99 yards for a TD by Dolphins safety Jevon Holland.
But it had nothing to do with trying to do it. Nothing.
It has to do with something nobody is going to bring up, but I will here:
Why wasn’t the Jets’ biggest, strongest, most physical receiver one of the guys running to the end zone trying to make this catch?
I’m talking about 6-4, 219-pound Irvin Charles.
He’s a beast making catches in a crowd.
What an oversight not having him as part of the receiving group into the end zone.
This kind of attention to detail is very important in coaching . . .
Max Mitchell is a great kid, but he seems to have lost some confidence, and he might need to take a seat for a bit.
He’s really struggling.
But who do you put in there?
Billy Turner, who is too light, and is having issues with bull rushes?
I still don’t understand why it was okay with the powers that be that Turner is playing OT at such a light weight. This isn’t personal. Turner is a good guy. But it was alarming what was going in in the Jets’ loss to the Chargers, the way he was getting bull-rushed by Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa.
Once again, attention to detail is important.
Somebody needed to tell Turner to bulk up a little before or after was signed . . .
