Joe Douglas asked this important question and we will find out answer soon

Early in a documentary about the Jets’ off-season, the team’s GM Joe Douglas posed an essential question in a staff meeting:

“Do you feel we are tough enough mentally?” Douglas asked.

Remember, this question was posed before they added players in the off-season.

And based on his actions, clearly, the GM felt they needed to get a little tougher mentally, coming off a 4-13 season, and added a bunch of alpha dog leaders with big game experience, like tight end C.J. Uzomah (Cincinnati), guard Laken Tomlinson (San Francisco), cornerback D.J. Reed (Seattle) and safety Jordan Whitehead (Tampa Bay).

Douglas describes these four as “guys that have played in big games throughout their careers.”

We will find out once the season starts if the 2022-23 Jets are tough enough mentally.

But adding “experienced players who have been to Super Bowls” as Douglas puts it, should help.
