The Jets need to listen to Aaron Rodgers and follow his lead when it comes to building a winning culture.
We aren’t talking about building the roster, we are talking about building a strong football culture. He’s 148-75-1 as an NFL starting QB. He knows a lot about winning.
Jets need to listen to this man, and follow his lead, in trying to figure out a way to end their 13-year playoff drought.
Rodgers says, moving forward for the Jets, it’s about “trying to find a way to get everybody on the same page and get the positivity going, get the goal setting going, get the manifestation going and then get this thing where it needs to be.”
He says the Jets players need to “refine your focus moving forward.”
The 12-penalty game in Cleveland is a perfect example of a need for refined focus.
He has made it clear that frivolous stuff that has nothing to do with winning needs to be thrown in the trash.
“Anything that doesn’t have anything to do with winning needs to be assessed,’ Rodgers said. “Anything in this building that we’re doing individually or collectively that has nothing to do with real winning needs to be assessed.”
He added: “Everything that you do matters, and the (expletive) that has nothing to do with winning needs to get out of the building.”
Some people don’t want to hear this because they don’t like Rodgers’ brash nature, or his views on Jimmy Kimmel, but if this organization wants to get to the promised land, to quote Paul McCartney, they need to “listen to what the man says” about building a winning culture.
