My take on McElroy #nyj Dan Leberfeld

People think I’m putting Greg McElroy in Canton

Far from it.

He played well in relief against Arizona, helping the Jets pull out a victory.

Is he a long-term answer? I have no idea.

Very often, a backup comes in, sparks a victory or two, but isn’t a viable answer over the long haul, due to physical limitations.

We see that a lot in football.

So I’m not sure if McElroy is the answer.

But after what he did against Arizona, my feeling is the Jets should try to find out down the stretch.

Because after almost four years of Sanchez, they should know what they have in him, and to me, that is an inconsistent quarterback who struggles reading defenses and with accuracy.
