Michael Manganiello is a loving husband and father and an avid fan of the New York Jets. He was recently diagnosed with Acute Myelofibrosis, a rare condition where progressive scarring or fibrosis of the bone marrow impairs its ability to make blood cells. His only chance of survival is a bone marrow transplant. In order to find a matching donor, Jets Defensive Coordinator Mike Pettine is co-hosting Match for Michael to encourage as many people as possible to register for the National Marrow Donor Program via a simple cheek swab on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012.
In addition to registering to be a donor, there will be a live and silent action, autograph session and photo opportunity with New York Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan, DT Sione Pouha, QB Mark Sanchez, DE Muhammad Wilkerson along with Bob Wischusen, Fireman Ed and members of the Flight Crew.
