Rex won’t go down without a fight Dan Leberfeld

Indianapolis – Rex Ryan made it clear, over and over today, that he and new GM John Idzik, are going to do everything they can to turn the Jets around.

“We are stepping up at the plate, and we are going to take our cuts,” Ryan said.

Ryan sees Idzik as a kindred spirit.

“There are a lot of similarities between John and I – both of our dads coached for the Jets at one time; we have both been around football our whole lives,” Ryan said.

Ryan says the Jets will be coming at teams in all three phases of the game.

“I’m excited about the direction of our team with this type of offense,” Ryan said. “We are going to have an attacking style on offense, defense and special teams.”
