Roger Goodell on cold weather Super Bowl

The upcoming Super Bowl will held in MetLife Stadium on February 14, 2014.

Imagine a game being played in conditions like we saw in Philadelphia on Sunday. The Eagles beat the Detroit Lions in a blizzard.

“We love playing in the elements,” Roger Goodell said today. “We saw that on Sunday. I think that was great. It was a throwback time. It was something that made us all feel great about the game, and playing in the elements is part of football. So we’re excited about coming here. And we think it’s going to be a great event. Not only for this region, but for the NFL.”
