The third preseason game is the most important for NFL teams. The starters play extensively.
“It’s a good warmup for Dallas,” Mark Sanchez said. “We need to play well into the third quarter. We get to work on a lot of situations, like the red-zone.”
Sanchez thinks the offense has made great strides in recent practices.
“The offense has come along the last two weeks,” Sanchez said.
The quarterback feels first down is an area that needs to get better.
“We want to get ahead of the sticks,” Sanchez said. “Second-and-long is hard. It handcuffs the offense and allows the defense to do whatever they want.”
