Something Jets need

One of on many things wrong with the 2012 Jets – they didn’t have enough player leadership.

I know Ray Lewis is a one-of-a-kind leader, but when you see the impact he has on his teammates, it really emphasizes the import of having strong leaders in sports, especially in football.

Football is such a physically demanding sport, you need that extra push a strong leader gives a team.

There is no question the Jets ran low in the leadership department last season.

So whether it’s in the draft or free agency, John Idzik needs to put a strong emphasis on not just finding good football players, but good football players who are leaders.
