Tebow appearing at church service at Qualcomm

Tim Tebow is going to appear at a Father’s Day service at Qualcomm Stadium, in conjunction with Pastor David Jeremiah’s Shadow Mountain Church.

“The last time he was at Qualcomm was the last time the Broncos beat the Chargers,” Shadow Mountain spokesman David St. John told the North County Times. “The Jeremiahs are a sports family, so having that deep love for the NFL and the NBA and sports in general, this is naturally an attractive opportunity to be part of. Originally, this was planned for our campus, and we went from too many people and not enough seats, to plenty of seats and room for all the people who want to come. We’re definitely expecting thousands.

“If there’s anybody in our country today who illustrates what it means to live with passion and break the mold, and to rise above what everybody says are your limitations, it’s Tim Tebow. He did that as a quarterback in Florida, he did that in the NFL with the Denver Broncos, and I certainly wouldn’t want to be in the camp that bets against him as he continues his career with the Jets.

“There are a lot of folks who will be sitting in the bleachers on Sunday who have been given the same kind of message —- either, ‘You’re not talented enough’ or ‘You’re not capable of leading.'”

The event starts at 10 a.m. at Qualcomm Stadium.
