The Wonderlic matters at this position Dan Leberfeld

Some people are quick to dismiss the Wonderlic IQ test given at the combine as meaningless.

At some positions, I agree, like cornerback and defensive line.

But at quarterback, it absolutely matters.

Playing quarterback in the NFL is an immense mental challenge; reading defenses, calling audibles – there is so much going on.

I would stay away from quarterbacks with low Wonderlic scores.
