Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham visited the Jets on Tuesday.
“Mason Graham, one of this Draft’s elite prospects, is visiting the Jets, according to a source,” Ian Rapoport posted on X. “NYJ has spent a considerable amount of time with Graham, including formal interview at the Combine, dinner the night before his Pro Day and now the Top 30 visit.”
Just because teams visit with a player doesn’t mean they leaning toward that player. They are just doing their due diligence.
There is no doubt Graham is a possiblity for the Jets at 7, but sometimes people read too much into meetings vis-a-vis interest.
In 1997, the Jets picked Virginia linebacker James Farrior eighth overall and had no contract with him before the draft.
