Jets should be able to take advantage of this in Minnesota

There is an old saying in sports – “It’s not who you play, but when you play them.”

The 9-2 Minnesota Vikings are obviously a very good team, but have some injuries that could impact them against the Jets.

Two key cornerbacks will be out, starter Cam Dantzler, and 2022 second-round pick Andrew Booth, who started some this year, will both miss the Jets game.

They do have Patrick Peterson, but after him a lot of question marks.

The Vikings’ injuries at cornerback have clearly hurt their defense. On Thanksgiving, New England’s Mac Jones was 28 of 39 for 382 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Minnesota.

The game before that, in a Vikings 40-3 loss to Dallas, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was 22-25 for 276 yards and two touchdowns.

So the Jets coming off a strong passing performance against Chicago, could be set for another big day against Minnesota.

Now stopping Minnesota’s offense isn’t easy, so this could be a high-scoring game.

But the Jets’ slew of weapons in the passing game, like Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore and Corey Davis, going against a team thin at cornerback, could lead to plenty of points for Gang Green.
