Vidal Hazelton injury the low point of Jets camp

Cortland – Former University of Cincinnati WR Vidal Hazelton was having a very good camp.

It was feel good story; a long-shot Staten Island-native trying to make the Jets.

Hazelton caught a long touchdown pass from Greg McElroy in the Green-and-White scrimmage.

Talking to people after the scrimmage, you couldn’t wipe the smile off his face.

And then on Tuesday, football disaster struck.

When he attempted to cut from the right sideline to the middle, on a crossing route, one of his knees buckled.

He suffered a serious knee injury, and was given an injury settlement today.

He wasn’t touched on the play. The knee just gave out.

From the highest of highs, to the lowest of lows, in a matter of a couple of days.
