Jamaal has surgery – announcement made by Vrentas Dan Leberfeld

According to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger, Jets outside linebacker Jamaal Westerman recently had groin surgery.

“Westerman had offseason surgery to repair a torn groin, according to a person informed of his injury status,” wrote Vrentas. “The injury nagged Westerman starting in training camp, but he didn’t realize he needed surgery until the offseason.”
