What Manish has been told by Jets Dan Leberfeld
Manish Mehta of the Daily News had some really good stuff on Twitter about the Jets thinking. Here are some of his tweets –
“I was told that #Jets had a late first-round grade on South Carolina’s Melvin Ingram. They couldn’t justify selecting him at No. 16.”
“I’ve been told #Jets haven’t targeted particular position for their 2nd rd pick. They won’t reach for need. OL, WR, Front Seven all in play.”
“I’ve been told the #Jets were, indeed, looking to trade down last night. (Quinton Coples was highest rated player left on their board).”
“Jets were in love with Alabama safety Mark Barron. If he slipped past No. 10, #NYJ would have aggressively pursued trade to move up.”
“How about this: I’ve been told that if Quinton Coples was gone by #Jets’ pick, they would have selected Stanford OL David DeCastro.”
