Why is the result such a surprise?

Everyone seems so shocked by the Jets last second loss to Denver.

Why?

They gave a QB with a lot of moxy, and a innate ability to win, plenty of time at the end of the game to lead his team to a score.

The Jets only offensive touchdown came on a fumble recovery by an offensive lineman.

The Broncos have the 20th-ranked pass defense in the NFL entering the game, but the Jets made them seem like a much higher ranked unit, like the game before against the Patriots.

Just like the Patriots game, Mark Sanchez had very inconsistent pass protection, but just like the Patriots game, there were plenty of plays he had time, and didn’t get enough done.

And his Pick Six was a killer.

There is no way around it, the Jets are getting pedestrian play at the quarterback spot, and it’s hurting them.

Sanchez needs to play better if the Jets want to challenge for a Wild Card spot.
