Why make him run the Wildcat?

According to ESPN New York, Tim Tebow didn’t want to run the Wildcat this week after being bypassed for the starting job.

Do you blame him?

Look, I know it doesn’t look good on the surface, but why ask him to do it now, after he lost out to Greg McElroy for the starting job this week?

Why slap him in the face like that?

He was livid at not getting a chance to start, something he thought he was promised if Mark Sanchez struggled. Just scrap the darn Wildcat, which hasn’t been that effective anyway, for the last two games.

Why rub salt in his wounds?

While I’m not defending Tebow’s actions, Tony Sparano and Rex Ryan should have used better judgement, and not humiliated him by asking him to compliment McElroy with the Wildcat.
