Former Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery, in an interview with the Newark Star-Ledger, had some powerful words about his erstwhile team.
“To be honest, yes, I saw a change,” Cotchery said about the Jets’ culture. “But to say that I could see how things would turn out for them this season, I can’t act as if I knew that. But I just saw a change, and I felt like I wasn’t a part of the future there in that type of atmosphere.”
His gut feelings, about the Jets 2011 locker room, turned out to be dead-on.
Cotchery had a lot more to say in this Star-Ledger article, and it should be a must-read for Jets’ management.
Not only should they read this article, but they should try to re-sign Cotchery, to help fix their dysfunctional locker room.
Pay him, and let him start opposite Santonio Holmes, with Jeremy Kerley and Patrick Turner rotating in.
